Saturday 12th December ‘Learn with Judit’

(one room for everyone in English, with translation in Italian, French, Dutch and Spanish)

2:45 p.m.: Introduction and welcome to the participants (staff)

3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.: ‘Pawn Storms’ Master class by Judit Polgar

Part 1 Same-side castling – Part 2 Opposite-side castling

4:45 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.: ‘How to Learn from a Legend’

Methodological and technical intervention to better grasp the specialized cues offered by the contribution of a great champion.

5:45 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.: ‘Dynamic Play in the Center’ Master class by Judit Polgar

Part 1 ‘Pawn breaks in the Center’–Part 2 Typical Piece Sacrifices’–Part 3 ‘Positional Sacrifices’.

7:15 p.m. -7:30 p.m.: Conclusions and end of the day

Sunday 13th December: ‘In the Foodsteps of Judit’

(two different meetings: one with IM Jesper Hall in English, with translation in French, Dutch and Spanish, the second one in Italian only with GM Ortega and MI Piscopo).

3:00 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.: Lesson 1‘Conceptual Bases of the Sicilian Defence: the Prerequisites for the Attack’.

3:45 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.: Practical Exercise 1

(students are asked to put into practice the notions they have learned in order to develop their skills; exercises based on carefully selected positions from practical games).

4:45 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.: Lesson 2 ‘Advanced Attack Methods’.

5:30 p.m.–6:15 p.m.: Practical Exercise 2

6:30 p.m.: Thematic Tournament on Lichess (2 hours)

4 rapid rounds (12 min. + 3 seconds); possibility to analyse with the technical staff.

The games will be played from positions selected by the technical staff and related to the topics dealt with or taken from Judit Polgar’s practice.

Cost of the total package ‘Learn with Judit’ and ‘In the Foodsteps of Judit’ (10 hours of lessons and practical exercises): €80.00.

Participants, in both courses, will be provided with all study materials and will be given the access link to the recordings, so that they can also study later.
